Through events like this the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will continue to create and fund innovative research programs that will someday save the lives of those affected with the disease. In the United States 1 of every 2,000 births results in cystic fibrosis. There are many families counting on our success. The speed with which we find new treatments and a cure for cystic fibrosis is of great importance. Half of the people with cystic fibrosis die by the time they reach their early thirties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
