     Reunion99 was held on Saturday, June 12, 1999. The Reunion was sponsored by the Six Flag’s Association of Former Employees, in conjunction with Six Flags Over Texas. The reunion was open to all individuals that had previously worked in the park.

     Almost exactly one hundred former employees, from various departments and all different seasons, and their families attended the event. The Reunion included:  

  • a day in the park to ride the rides and see the shows;
  • meeting and visiting during the day at our booth in the Modern section;
  • a reunion rally at the pavilions during the evening;
  • kiddie packages to entertain all of the little ones, with items donated by the park and the association;
  • dinner at the rally;
  • a reunion program, with Bruce Neal, our featured speaker.

    Marian Buehler, Director of Human Relations and Administration, welcomed everyone to the park on behalf of Six Flags Over Texas. 

      Bruce Neal, Public Relations Director for Six Flags beginning in 1968, was the featured speaker. He spoke of the “early days of the park” and provided a lists of Six Flags Over Texas “firsts” in the amusement  park industry.
