Thanks to Six Flags Over Texas, The Former Employees were invited to participate in the 45th Anniversary Opening Ceremony.
The ceremony was at parking opening on Saturday, March 4th, 2006. There were several featured speakers, as well as the introduction of the “Justice League” characters. The Hardin Simmons Cowboy band performed.
Following the ceremony, the former employees enjoyed a day in the park. The weather was perfect, and the lines very short. Other than the Titan being down for a large part of the day, it was pretty much ride what ever you want, whenever you want.
Just prior to closing at 6:00, the new Six Flags Parade was held. It started in “Gotham City” and continued to the Front Gate. The Hardin Simmons Cowboy band was again featured.
Everyone that attended received a free 45th Anniversary T-Shirt.
Based on the feedback I have received, everyone had a great time.
